Position Overview

Nimble Managed Services is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to safely operate and maintain heavy construction machinery on a variety of project sites. The Equipment Operator will play a key role in supporting earthmoving, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks that keep projects on schedule and running efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy construction equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Excavators
    • Bulldozers
    • Loaders
    • Backhoes
    • Compact Track Loaders (CTLs)
    • Road Graders
  • Perform pre-operation inspections and safety checks on assigned machinery
  • Conduct basic maintenance such as greasing, fluid checks, and filter changes
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching, and material distribution
  • Communicate with field leads and site supervisors to ensure coordinated work progress
  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliant jobsite performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or civil work
  • Current and valid CDL or appropriate operator certifications (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret basic grade stakes and jobsite plans
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with company standards
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Safety certification
  • Experience with GPS/grade control systems
  • Previous work on infrastructure, grading, or excavation projects
